		<description>Thanks for the lesson in the basic economic governance that takes place here in New York.  There’s a name for a form of government where the decisions of legislative leaders are kept secret from most citizens.
But a couple of decades ago, that type of government ceased: the former Soviet Union broke up.  It still exists in Cuba today… and one can see how their economy is doing: similar to upstate New York.
All governments reallocate money, and spend.  But the spending decisions need to be taken out of a dark room – filled with legislators and lobbyists.  The debates need to be made in public.
New York’s citizens need to walk into the local office of their legislators, and demand that the legislators bring reform to our dysfunctional government.  Walk in and pleasantly ask for an appointment.  Please.</description>
